Mobile Enabled Social Community "Mobloco.com" Launches Mobile Alert Service in BETA on the Heels of NBA All-Star
Atlanta, GA (PRWeb) January 21, 2007 -- The first localized, mobile community that allows consumers to RSVP, tag and post events, send and received text messages, create mobile profiles and connect people to the social scene in their local area, recently launched on the heels of NBA All-Star.
The consumer-generated content-based site provides a platform for finding or publicizing a variety of events, both local and remote which are viewable online and on internet-enabled mobile devices. With online expanded search capabilities and interactive mapping, consumers are able to add their own listings that are attached to their official Mobloco profile, along with any supporting information, such as event descriptions, dates of events, photos/flyers and venues where they take place. Additionally, consumers of the free community are able to create alerts to receive notifications on their mobile devices of when events are happening based on the preferences that they specify.

Williams, also head of interactive marketing and web development agency ShockTheory, is credited for the development of ScreamTour.com which experienced over 250,000 unique youth registrations online for the largest urban musical tour in history. ShockTheory clients have included the Recording Academy, Schiefflin and Somerset - home of brands such as Tanquery and Hennessey, and Ford Motor Company.
In a series of brand awareness campaigns, Mobloco.com has teamed up with 3-year old AllStarWeek.com in a co-branded strategy that includes listing all events taking place off the court during the week-long celebrations surrounding NBA All-Star in Las Vegas, Nevada for 2007. For the upcoming celebrations, consumers can view AllStarWeek's Mobloco mobile site at m.mobloco.com or setup specific alerts for these events.
