How Basketball Makes You A Better Guy

Picture this: Two guys stand side by side. They?re both about 5?11?, clear complexion, with good hair. One has scrawny arms and looks a bit bleary eyed from too much time in front of the computer. The other is muscular, tanned, and alert. Which do you think the girls will go for?

Playing a sport like basketball on a regular basis is sure to make you a better guy. There are lots of reasons, from a woman?s point of view, it also makes you more attractive.

Physically Fit

A man who plays a sport like basketball often tends to be physically fit, and able to live an active lifestyle. He is strong and confident and can do things like hiking, biking, or surfing. Chances are that if he?s active in one sport, he?s physically able to do other things as well. He?s attractive and is obviously interested in being fit.

Gets Along Well With Others

If a guy is playing basketball on a team, it?s pretty safe to say that he gets along well with others. You can?t play on a team and be prickly. You are somewhat sociable and can be relied upon to follow through. You are approachable and know how to talk to others (I don?t mean trash talking, here!). This is a desirable trait that appeals to the ladies and makes you a better guy. Knowing how to interact with other people makes you someone that other people want to be around and spend time with.

Someone who plays basketball with others and gets along well with his teammates is likely to be able to maintain basic relationships with people outside the court as well. He can interact without behaving like a Neanderthal (most of the time) and can hold a conversation about his sport.

A basketball player is a team player, which makes him attractive to potential employers, too. Your boss wants to know that he can count on you to follow through on a project at work, and playing well on the court means that you will probably be able to pull through on the job as well.

Good Reflexes

These come in handy not only on the court but when you are called upon to do good. Snatching a wandering toddler from the path of an oncoming car in the parking lot will earn you good wishes from the harried mother; helping an elderly man pick up his apples he?s dropped before they?re trampled by other shoppers is another way the basketball-playing guy can help his fellow man.

It?s easy to see that playing basketball makes you a better guy. You can demonstrate your physical fitness to the ladies, and receive lots of attention, if you want it. You get along well with others which will hold you in good stead at work and at home. You have good reflexes that will enable you to help out your fellow man in times of calamity. Basketball makes you a better man.
