2007 NBA Mock Draft

Can't Make it in the NBA - Take it To Hollywood

(PRWEB) December 24, 2004 -- Vladimir Cuk has starred in two major Disney feature films playing basketball players from the former Yugoslavia and has recently transitioned into action movie roles, such as in his new movie Forbidden Warrior.

Vladimir Cuk left European basketball at the age of 17 after being scouted by New York Knicks' scout Bob Sassone. Upon finishing McCaskey High School in Lancaster, PA and learning English, Cuk was recruited by Charles "Lefty" Driesell, one of the winningest coaches in the history of American college basketball. At the time of Cuk's recruitment by James Madison University, eight of "Lefty's" players were first round NBA draft picks and in all, 33 of his former players have been drafted by the NBA.

Among the players Lefty Driesell has coached have been Rhodes Scholar and U.S. congressman Tom McMillan, Harvard Law School graduate and ESPN color analyst Len Elmore, former No. 1 NBA draftee Fred Hetzel, NBA Player Association President Buck Williams of the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks General Manager Brad Davis, former NBA coach and No. 1 draft choice John Lucas, Rhodes Scholar Danny Carrell, and former NBA standout Albert King.

But in Lefty's hands, Cuk does not make a mark as a basketball player, but as an outstanding academic talent and budding sports film star. Vladimir graduated with two majors, three minors, honors, distinctions and cam-laude in four years (1995). He received an MBA and two major film credits by 1997.

Even though Cuk has not made it into the NBA as some of his countrymen have, he still manages to make the game winning shot in the NBA championship in his 1996 film "Celtic Pride." He also wins the NCAA Championship in the 1997 film "The Sixth Man", appears in basketball Adidas commercials and James Bond video games, and now travels through the forests of 14th century China and battles ninjas in the latest video flick Forbidden Warrior.

Soon you will be able to rent Forbidden Warrior in the video store near you.
